How to Setup Google Analytics 4 Integration:

Before you start:

  • Google Analytics 4 Installed on your website
  • Google Analytics 4 Account Administration Permissions
  • Google Tag Assistant Extension – Installed on your browser
  • ConversionCow – Installed on your website with an active Campaign and Popout

 

To setup the ConversionCow Google Analytics integration on your website follow the steps below:

  1. Open up Google Tag Assistant and connect to your website

  2. Navigate to a page on your website where your ConversionCow Popout appears
  3. Trigger some of the listed events above (marked with cc) and monitor the Tag Assistant debug logs
  4. See below, “cc_eventname” is a ConversionCow Analytics event ready for you to report
  5. Clicking into the event > Data Layer allows you to view more details about the event

  6. Login to your Google Analytics 4
  7. Navigate to Admin > Events
  8. You will naturally see any events that are triggered on your website here including any of the ConversionCow events listed above e.g “cc_address_click”
  9. Congratulations! You are now viewing ConversionCow events in Google Analytics, we recommend to mark the appropriate tags as conversions from these events.
